Former Pakistani minister Imran Khan was injured in the shin on Thursday when his convoy was shot down in the east of the country on Thursday, an aide said.

A member of Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party said he had not had a good time yet.
"A man opened fire with an automatic weapon. Several people were injured. Mr. Imran Khan was also injured," Asad Umar told Media. Khan was taken to hospital in Lahore.

The attack took place in Wazirabad, about 200 km (120 miles) from the capital, Islamabad.
Former cricketer Khan, 70, was leading a protest march in Islamabad to call for snap elections. There were hundreds of people in the convoy.
A bullet hit his shin, PTI spokesman Fawad Chaudhry said.
