About Position
This position is a part hour position and reports to the Store Manager. Starting pay is $18.50 per hour and requires availability evenings, weekends and holidays at our Soho store on Crosby Street. The store will be moving to the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn in the coming months, so we need someone to join us on this next chapter of our journey!

WHAT WILL YOU DO

• Create an upbeat, optimistic and welcoming impression for customers.

• Drive and increase sales by interacting with customers and asking open-ended questions to assess needs and make appropriate product offers.

• Speak to customers with knowledge and confidence about materials, styles, cuts, fabrics, prices and trends in the outdoor and fashion industries.

• Strengthen our brand presence by encouraging customers to interact with social networking sites and mailing lists.

• Inform customers about brand history, products, offers, promotions and events.

• Efficiently process customer transactions with superior accuracy at point of sale/cash processing.

• Handle customer complaints, refunds and questions, ensuring customers are satisfied

• Respond to telephone and email inquiries, including promptly notifying customers of new items for sale and special orders.

• Keep retail space, dressing rooms, storefronts, cash wrap areas and the back of the house clean and tidy.

• Apply knowledge of retail KPIs to make decisions that help achieve established sales goals.

• Efficiently and efficiently execute all operational processes including shipment processing, inventory replenishment, inventory and loss prevention.

• Ensure compliance with health and safety rules.

Eligibility Criteria

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Retail experience

• Exceptional customer service

• Basic mathematical and financial knowledge

• Basic knowledge of working with personal computers, point of sale systems and various software packages including MS Office.

• Reliable and professional

• Friendly and open with all types of people

• Enthusiasm for a fast-paced, high-growth work environment

GOOD TO HAVE

• Experience with Shopify

• Experience with Japanese language and culture

• Experience in the outdoor, retail or apparel industry

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prolonged standing position

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds

• Communicate effectively with diverse audiences in person, over the phone and via computer.

• Regular interaction with the public
