***Part-time position***

The Production Assistant is an entry-level position in our bakeries and a valued member of the production team focused on the safe and consistent production of the highest quality products for customers. You will be responsible for the operation of high speed production equipment.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

You are focused on the stable production of a quality product in the bakery, performing a variety of tasks; including: safe operation of machinery, packaging of products, mixing of ingredients, sanitation, and handling and/or stacking of materials and equipment used in the production of fresh baked goods.
You will inspect and reject products that do not meet specifications; observe, support and solve problems to prevent and reduce waste.
You can replace employees for breaks / lunches and also perform all the functions of these positions. Can fill missing positions in production or packaging.
You may be responsible for the correct interpretation of all formulas and the development of all types of tests, including but not limited to time, temperature, weight, and formula exceptions.
You will accurately measure ingredients and load them into the blender in the correct order, following the blender's schedule. You will maintain a safe, clean and hygienic work environment.
You must follow, demonstrate and understand all environmental and safety (OHS) requirements.
You will maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
You meet Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) requirements.
You will participate in and pass all training, audits, etc. approved and required by the Company.
Additional duties and responsibilities assigned by the manager.

Key Behavioral Competencies:

You have a strong analytical capacity to collect and interpret data in situations where the problems are somewhat complex (management of people, procedures and equipment).
You work well in a team environment, have good interpersonal skills and are open to change.
You must be able to perform basic math and computer skills; Preferably SAP, Oracle, CPD.
You operate with a continuous improvement (CI) mindset: focus on increasing efficiency while reducing waste.

Qualification:
highschool credentials or GED equivalent is most well-liked.
1 year manufacturing experience is desired.
Must be 18 or older.
Ability to lift 50 pounds, stack/dismount or carry, stand and/or stoop for long periods (excluding breaks and lunch periods), climb, perform repetitive movements and working in dusty, noisy and hot environments.
Must have smart written and speech skills in English.
Must wear the desired Personal protecting instrumentality (PPE).
Ability to work shifts longer than 8 hours, irregular and/or rotating, including part-time days off (non-consecutive days off) and working nights, holidays and weekends (often required).
